What Is V-Commerce™? Why the Car Is Becoming the Wallet

October 2026 · By Muhammad Omer Khan, Founder & CEO

The car learned to drive. Now it needs to learn to transact.

For years, the auto industry has focused on making vehicles connected, electric, and increasingly autonomous. But every time a vehicle stops to park, fuel, charge, or pass through a toll, the payment still depends on a person: a card at a terminal, a QR code, an app, a ticket on the dashboard.

What V-Commerce™ means

V-Commerce™, or vehicle commerce, is commerce where the vehicle itself identifies, authenticates, and pays. Instead of the driver repeating the same payment steps at every stop, the vehicle becomes a trusted payment identity that infrastructure can recognize.

Why now

Vehicles already carry the ingredients: location, a unique identity, and connectivity. What has been missing is a secure identity and transaction layer that links the vehicle, the driver's payment method, and the businesses and cities that serve them.

That is what AuthenCore AI is building with A-Pulse®.

How we get there

We are building V-Commerce™ in three phases:

  • Phase 1, today: a software-only experience, where drivers register their vehicle and payment method once.
  • Phase 2, in development: an in-vehicle device that handles transactions hands-free, with the app used to set preferences.
  • Phase 3: A-Pulse® built directly into the vehicle's telematics, so owners can switch on auto-payments.

Starting with parking

We start with parking because it is where drivers feel the most friction and where operators can add value fastest, without new hardware. But the same identity works anywhere a vehicle needs to pay: fuel, EV charging, tolls, car washes, and drive-throughs.

Your vehicle. Your identity. Your payment.
