1. Who we are and what this policy covers
AuthenCoreAI Inc. ("AuthenCore AI", "we", "us", "our") is a corporation incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada. We build A-Pulse®, a vehicle identity and payment platform that lets drivers pay for parking and other vehicle services without tickets, terminals, or repeated payment steps.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you:
- visit authencore.ai or any of our related websites (the "Site");
- use the AuthenCore AI or A-Pulse® mobile or web applications (the "App");
- park, fuel, charge, or otherwise transact at a participating location using our services (together with the Site and App, the "Services"); or
- contact us, attend our events, or otherwise interact with us.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws. Where we offer the Services outside Canada, we also follow the privacy laws that apply in those places.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. Where consent is required, we will ask for it as described below.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to provide and improve the Services.

If we offer an in-vehicle device or a connection to your vehicle's systems in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before collecting any vehicle data from it.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage your account, register your vehicles, detect when you arrive at and leave a participating location, start and end parking sessions, calculate charges, and process payments.
- Confirm your session is paid: let parking operators and, where applicable, municipal enforcement confirm that your vehicle has an active, paid session, so you are not ticketed in error.
- Support you: send receipts and session notifications, respond to questions, and handle refunds and disputes.
- Keep the Services secure: verify identity, prevent fraud and misuse, and protect our users, partners, and systems.
- Improve the Services: fix problems, measure performance, and develop new features. Where possible, we use aggregated or de-identified data for this.
- Communicate with you: send service messages and, with your consent, news and marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
- Meet legal obligations: keep financial and tax records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Consent
We rely on your consent to collect, use, and share personal information as described here. Some consent is express, such as allowing location access on your device or opting in to marketing. Some is implied by your use of the Services, such as sharing your plate and session status with the operator of a location where you park.
You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent to location access or to sharing session information with operators, some or all of the Services may no longer work.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to provide the Services, and only with:
- Parking and service operators. When you park or transact at a participating location, we share your licence plate, session start and end time, location, and amount paid with the operator of that location so they can manage the facility and settle payments. Operators do not receive your full payment details.
- Municipalities and enforcement. Where a participating location is subject to municipal parking rules, we may share your licence plate, location, date, time, and session status with the city or its enforcement team so they can see that your vehicle is paid. We do not share your name or payment details with them unless required by law.
- Payment processors. We use Stripe, Inc. and may use other processors to authorize, capture, and refund payments. They handle your card details under their own privacy policies and security standards.
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors for hosting, databases, mapping, email, analytics, and customer support. They may only use your information to provide services to us and must protect it.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AuthenCore AI, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information, such as total sessions or average parking duration, that does not identify you.
5. Location data
Location is central to how A-Pulse® works, so we want to be clear about it.
- Why we use it: to detect when your vehicle arrives at a participating location (using a virtual boundary called a geofence), to confirm the session belongs to the right zone and rate, and to detect when you have driven away so the session can end.
- When we collect it: only with your permission in your device settings, and only when it is needed, such as when you are near a participating location or have an active session. We do not continuously track your journeys.
- Walking away is not leaving: a phone leaving a zone on foot does not end your session. Only movement consistent with driving ends a session automatically. You can also end a session yourself in the App.
- What operators and cities see: the location of your parking session, not your wider movements.
- Your control: you can turn off location access at any time in your device settings. Automatic sessions will not work without it, but you may still be able to start and end sessions manually where the operator allows it.
6. Storage, transfers, retention, and security
Where your information is stored
We and our service providers may store and process personal information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our providers operate. When information is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. We use contracts and other safeguards to protect information that is transferred.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy:
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and vehicle information | While your account is active, then deleted or de-identified within 90 days of closure |
| Detailed location data | 30 days after the related session ends, unless needed for a dispute |
| Session, transaction, and receipt records | 7 years, to meet tax and financial record-keeping requirements |
| Dispute and support records | 2 years after the matter is closed |
| Marketing preferences | Until you unsubscribe or close your account |
How we protect it
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information. These include encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need it, tokenized payments, and monitoring for unauthorized access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and ask how it has been used and shared.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. You can update most account and vehicle details in the App.
- Withdraw consent to location access, marketing, or other optional uses.
- Delete your account in the App or by contacting us. Some records, such as transaction records, must be kept for legal reasons.
- Complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days, and may need to verify your identity first.
8. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses essential cookies to work properly and may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children
The Services are intended for licensed drivers and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
The Services may link to websites or services run by others, such as operators or payment providers. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.
